Hey, MessengerX, I wouldn't be able to convince you to share your special style of love with these people?
Perhaps I can clarify an apparent confusion here:
No messages posted under the account "darthsikle' (permabanned a month ago) were affected. The threads/posts in question were made by his self-confessed and externally confirmed dual account. "Hiram Abiff". Even so, we did not erase all Hiram Abiff posts, but specifically transferred only the Hiram Abiff posts made after ds' permaban to a non-public archive.
We tried to be conservative in our actions, but we are likely to be more stringent in the future. This is necessary.
Duals have been against the rules here from the very beginning of Ex Isle (or close to it). I can't believe anyone would seriously suggest that such "doubly-illegal" posts should be allowed to stand. If remarks by a bannee's dual should be allowed to stand, then what of suspended posters? Shouldn't they be allowed to circumvent their lesser sanction? Shouldn't everyone be allowed to make deliberately disruptive posts through duals, to shield their main account from warnings? Our answer is an absolute NO.
Because duals can be used to circumvent most or all of Ex Isle's rules, we treat them, in and off themselves, as among the most serious offenses.
