Paris set for Celebrity Big Brother?

Reality TV star Paris Hilton is rumoured to be eager to take part in the next season of 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the UK.

The Sun reports that the socialite is being offered over £300,000 to take part in the in the Channel 4 programme scheduled for January 2008.
Paris, who has starred in her own reality show 'The Simple Life' in the US, is reportedly hoping to raise her profile in the UK through such an appearance, and to put an end to her image of being a spoilt party girl.


A 'Big Brother' source tells The Sun that the show's bosses are in talks to rope in Hilton.

"We told Paris, 'Name your price'. We're in firm talks, and it would be a fantastic coup to get her," the Sun quoted an insider, as saying.

Another source said that Hilton wants to disprove her 'bimbo' and 'wild child reputation'.

"She wants people to see that she's not a bimbo or a wild child," the source said.

"She would easily be the star of the show - but obviously she won't do it unless the money is right," the source added.

You know, if she wants to act like a decent person, then yeah, good for her. But, everytime I see her being her and not just crying in the back of a police car, she is not a nice person. Even when her behavior is near acceptable, you can tell it is all an act for a little girl audience at hand.

Of course, I don't wish to get into her pants so other people's POV may be different.
 
She wants to "raise her profile"? She's already the most Googled creature in the Western world.

Is this a part of the "good works" she vowed to do after getting out of jail?
 
I must be honest, Paris has never really bothered me that much. And Wacky can tell you how much disdain I can have for the spoilt and snooty if I get worked up enough about it.

Of course she's an idiot. Of course she's spoilt. Of course she acts like a princess. She's young and has literal billions coming her way. That would give almost anyone some rather bad traits when viewed from the gutters. (all of us.) And I wonder how many who judge her would act if they were in her shoes.

I only mention because people seem to paint her as the devil incarnate for some reason. I'm not overly keen of her myself but I don't really hate her either. I almost threw a fit when she nearly side-stepped prison but that was a matter of principle.

As for the unfathomable coverage she gets.....blame that on the press.


I think she will be good on CBB. I hope she goes on.
 
It would be a big coup for Channel 4. She could perhaps do a David Gest and become popular over here. Or she could do a Jade Goody and mess up spectacularly. Either way, good viewing!
 
Isnt she supposed to be claustrophobic, or does that only happen in jail cells, not on tv?
