Possible discovery of alien life

This is no hoax. This has been slowly brewing for five years, and is starting to turn into something. We should know within maybe a few months. This is exciting folks. This is as close as we've ever gotten.

In April, Louis, a solid-state physicist at Mahatma Gandhi University, published a paper in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal Astrophysics and Space Science in which he hypothesizes that the samples -- water taken from the mysterious blood-colored showers that fell sporadically across Louis's home state of Kerala in the summer of 2001 -- contain microbes from outer space.

Specifically, Louis has isolated strange, thick-walled, red-tinted cell-like structures about 10 microns in size. Stranger still, dozens of his experiments suggest that the particles may lack DNA yet still reproduce plentifully, even in water superheated to nearly 600 degrees Fahrenheit . (The known upper limit for life in water is about 250 degrees Fahrenheit .)

So how to explain them? Louis speculates that the particles could be extraterrestrial bacteria adapted to the harsh conditions of space and that the microbes hitched a ride on a comet or meteorite that later broke apart in the upper atmosphere and mixed with rain clouds above India.

People should understand that life can survive in all sorts of conditions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extremophile

Endolith: An organism that lives in microscopic spaces within rocks, such as pores between aggregate grains.

Hyperthermophile: An organism that can thrive at temperatures between 80-121 °C, such as those found in in hydrothermal systems.

Hypolith: An organism that lives inside rocks in cold deserts.

But no DNA = no life? How chauvanistic.

What they don't explain though is how this micro-organism has managed to abduct thousands of people and mutilate all those cattle...?
Mind control, of course. Duh. Fortunately it can't penatrate tin foil.

It's a carnivorous bacteria with hermitic tendencies, and it takes over the brains of mammals, causing them to suddenly develop insatiable appetites for beef and solitude. The onset of infection in humans can be easily detected when the infected subject is heard to utter the phrase: "Shut up and bring me a cheeseburger."
