"PROMETHEUS" now out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Out already? That was quck. The movie must have really had a pungent smell. Did anyone pay money to watch this latest Hollywood offering?
 
Bought it. Enjoyed it. Plan to see the sequels.

Yes, people who hated it and thought it didn't tie up any lose ends, the plot didn't make sense and so forth, it's the FIRST part of a trilogy....
 
I had mixed feelings about it. When it comes to Netflix I'll watch it again. I thought it posed some good questions.

Can you give a review of the movie? I love science fiction stuff, but that piercing claxon alarm they played whenever they advertised this movie was extremely irritating. It almost brought on my yearly mean day.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, despite several plot questions (I can't remember what they are now).

The casting was great. The actors did a great job or portraying their characters, and the android was phe-nom-e-nal.

However, my sole complaint was blonde bitch ladies death. Not only was it over the top and drawn out, but it could have been prevented in such an easy manner.

Also, some of the scenes are unforgettable. Like the robotic emergency room and when the android begins experimenting with the unknown material. And the second to final encounter in the spaceships control room.

I've found that the only people who dislike it are those who take movies way to seriously. I treat it like I do Final Fantasies. I don't see it as a linear story, whatsoever. It's in the same "universe", much like certain superhero legacies.

It was two hours long, it had mystery, an android, aliens, alien planets, hot women in distress, hot women undressed, spaceships and people getting killed.

There are STILL alot of people who haven't seen "Prometheus" yet, so I'll put my opinion/review of it in spoilers:

I give "Prometheus" a thumbs down, but in spite of & despite that there are alot of cool & interesting things in & about it. It's visually a masterpiece. Most things in it are very interesting visually, & I'm not just talking about Noomi Rapace & Charlize Theron. The organisms in the film are interesting, sans Zombie Fifield. Some things about it I DON'T like, & why I give it a thumbs down, are its von Danikenism, humans being created theme, characters doing retarded things, when it takes place, implication if not being stated outright that the xenomorphs (&/or related/similar alien organisms) were created rather than naturally occurring & evolved, Zombie Fifield, among other things.

But I definitely suggest people see this movie who haven't & make up their own minds about it.
 
So, dead teenager movie in space (everyone dies but one or two), wannabe "Alien" "Aliens" stealer with great special effects, but too many too stupid to live characters, uneven script dumbed down script.

Well, okay then. I'll watch it in video rental - yes, some of us still do that.
