Original Gangster!

Nappy-headed ho.

Hmmm.... I know ... troll board. But, I have to take exception to this. You may not always agree with her but her opinions and points of view are honest and she'll go to the mat trying to be fair. Insulting her because of race and gender is a low blow and not worthy of the caliber of troll I've always found you to be CU.

What are you talking about? The difference between him and say, Luci, is a bit of restraint and nothing more.

I've seen CU make people admire and like him while at the same time making those same people want to take him out back and tar and feather him. He has such a command of the language coupled with the ability to package an insult intelligently that he doesn't need to stoop to lame, old man cheap shots.

I didn't say leave them alone - just they deserve better than cheap shots based on race and gender.

And there's the point to the whole Imus affair. You're indignant over something that doesn't amount to a hill of beans, something said in jest, and something not even said to the person/persons in question.

Incidentally, since when is insulting someone based on race or gender a "low blow?" Minority comedians do it all the time. What you mean is that it pisses you off for me (or anyone white) to do it, so you feel the need to wax moralistic to me.

Just be honest about how you feel about this.

I'm surprised you're not calling for my banning... or at least a two week suspension.

The difference between the two, is that Luci sleeps with his thesaurus while CU can't be bothered. Both are assholes and if you're dropping to the lowest common denomonator, do it fast or it'll be, too long; didn't read. In a nut shell? No one reads Luci, CU gets a punch in the face immediately.

Whew ...

Well, dear, if you want to defend Imus, you might try a legitimate argument.

This is a country that used to value freedom of speech. In this day and time, though, we've adopted a double standard. We've identified speech as politically correct and hate speech. As you say, a minority can and does, without repercussions, use the same hate speech that will cost a non-minority person their job, to be fined, and/or punished in other ways. If I were to wax moralistic, it would be more in the manner of indignation that the bill of goods I grew up believing in, that all people are created equal, was just the beginning of the slippery slope we find ourselves flopping all over now.

I remember when there were separate bathrooms and separate water fountains for whites and non-whites. I remember when schools were desegregated. The black people that I met then only wanted the same chance, the same opportunity, or lack thereof, that any white person had. I'd like to know where those people went. I don't like this crowd - this children of slaves mentality, needs reparations - a mule, an acre of land and a million dollars - promotes an entitlement subculture, idolizes gangsters, the list goes on. I want back the black people who would have got up off their asses and got out of New Orleans before the hurricane hit land. I want back the black people that were willing to apply an education to their hard working ethics. I want back the black people who would have washed out the mouths of the sons that called the daughters whores.

Defend free speech but don't defend Imus. He is a part of the problem, not a solution. His kind keeps us divided instead of building bridges across the gap between us. We don't have to be the same - there is no fun in that. Variety is the spice of life. But, we don't have to be in this place where the color of the person speaking the word makes all the difference between a guffaw and the villagers at the gate carrying pitchforks.

Defend Imus' right, and the right of every minority that utters the same words he spoke, to free speech. Then, exercise your right to not listen to it, to not promote it, to not support it financially, to refuse to emulate it, to not allow it in your vocabulary or your home.

It surprises me that I would have to explain to you why insulting gender and race is a low blow. There is nothing wrong with being any race or any gender. That is how people come. It is a low blow to attack someone over their race or gender because that is not something they chose for themselves. Attack people for what they knowingly, intelligently, and voluntarily choose for themselves. For example, I believe you were born human but you chose to represent yourself as a tick-infested, flea-bitten wild creature unable to escape captivity. On top of that, you are self-described as ugly. That the handle is the same as the title of a movie about some gorgeous young women pursuing their dreams is probably not coincidental. What message are you trying to convey there? That you are a whiney bitch with a cause or what?

Should you still be having PMS at your age?
Oh, it is much better than that. I have PMS and I'm pre-menopausal. If you piss me off during that special time of the month, run and hide. It won't do you any good, but hunting you down will make it more fun for me.

Look, if we're going to do this, you'll have to respond more than once or twice a day in order to make it worth my while... else I'll let this thread sink to the bottom. Ok?

Incidentally, I read somewhere that giving lots of blowjobs will alleviate the symptoms of PMS... so hit the streets.

Actually, I'd love to play with you for awhile. However, my days and evenings have been quite packed the past 5-6 months.

I hadn't heard that giving blowjobs will ease PMS/pre-menopausal issues. However, my need to please has long since passed. It is all about what pleases me these days. Thanks for the tip though.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm sure eloisel will be able to spend the rest of her time browsing this wonderful forum by partaking in meaningful discourse.
