Recurring Dreams

Mirah

I love you
Please briefly list or describe in just a couple of sentences any recurring dreams you have had.

1. Work dream-of a place I used to work. It is usually that I am back there working and I wake up in a wierd panic wondering why I am back there.
2. Walking around a carnival or mall or really tall building. I am usually alone for most part and trying to meet up with people and I get lost.
3. One of my old neighborhoods and my friend and I are usually going to school either by bus or driving.

*Past recurring dreams I haven't had in a while*
3. Driving down a hill and my car falls apart by the time I get down to the bottom of the hill and I am left holding only the steering wheel.
4. Running or flying/trying to get away from someone. I guess I've slayed my demons so I don't have these anymore.

I keep having this dream that I'm back in college and my roommates and I are about to have to move because our lease is about to run out and we haven't done ANYTHING about finding a new place to live or bothered packing anything up at all, and I haven't checked the mail in months. I don't know what that means, but the dream happens a few times a week.

Analyze that.

A few times a week?!
Did you just get out of college?
Is there anything about this dream that is true? Or a fear you had?

I used to have a dream the night before any big trip that I showed up to my destination without packing anything at all. I don't have that one anymore either.

Being back at school, not knowing where to go/being late for class/not studying exam/having to pee and getting lost walking around a giant city.

No I got out of college 30 years ago, that's the odd part.

A few nights ago I also had a dream in which I was having sex with a Klingon, and then the parade of dreams just got more violent after that.

It was probably a TNG era Klingon woman, not one of those STD monstrosities so that's probably a good sign.

Being in my old 11th floor flat when it gets windy and it sways and sways until it falls down.

Walking a long way home, but when I get there it's not the right place and I have to keep going.

Crossing a long bridge on foot, never getting to the other side.

Floods or giant miles high tidal waves.

I am sensing a common theme of being lost and having anxiety of upcoming events. At CKLT wow, that is amazing 30 years later.

Whisky have you ever been in any extreme weather or natural event such as you described?

I forgot to add that I used to have recurring "end of the world" dreams. But not anymore. Now it is like what I actually see on the news.

I feel like making a spread sheet of these dreams!

I nearl drowned as a child.

The wind never used to bother me when I lived there. Its only after I moved out the flat falling down started.

That sounds scary. Glad you didn't drown. What happened if you don't mind me asking? Did someone rescue you?
I had an uncle who drowned. As a kid I was always told they were drinking, but just recently learned that wasn't true. But now I can't remember the rest of the story.

CaptainWacky, are these all seperate?
like: School not knowing where to go and being late and not studying-all in the same dream? And then I assume the city dream is not in the same dream as the school?

They can all lead into each other. Like I get lost walking around the school and suddenly I'm lost in a city or I'm lost on my way to school.

No one rescued me, before I fell in the sea, a teenager was pretending to drown shouting save me, and flailing has arms around.

Later as I was paddling a big wave hit me and drew me under the waves, I can't swim so only managed to get above the waves once, I yelled for help but everyone just looked at me as if I was the kid from earlier.

I crawled along the sand under the water until I was bank on the beach, then my dad came to get me.

I finally discovered the reason for one of my recurring dreams:
The one where I am in a strangers house and they come home and find me in the shower or the bed or just watching TV.
It is because of being read the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears too many times.

There is one where there is this huge meadow runway and today I realized it is like a video game or some scene I have watched in a movie.
There is another one about a mountain
And then a train was added into one of these once.
I can't remember the specifics! Maybe I will wake up and remember it.

I had the dream where I am in a large high rise in MN, which isn't surprising because earlier in the day I was chatting about the building my grandmother lived in.

What wasn't recurring about my dream was the fact that I was in MN and the fact that I was there on a business trip with other business associates. That part does make sense to me also tho since I had watched the Christmas Chronicles before sleep last night.
But what doesn't make sense is that one guy as soon as we got to the new town went and changed into a dress and put on makeup and a wig. Earlier we had seen men in skirts. He looked nice, but had a blue wig on and one business associate walked up to him and said he didn't like his wig. And then some other associates got into a huddle and all of them talked about what they were going to wear.

Then I went to dinner or lunch and learned that we were actually not to talk about our business and we were on per diem. I wasn't actually supposed to be on this business trip so I did not bring very many items with me. It was a strange lunch time.

Next somehow I was in an underground type garage but it was a nice place and Moss from IT Crowd was there.
