Overall an enjoyable movie. Definitely kid oriented. Good animation in 3D. Not just for Christmas but not a bad start for the holiday season.
Maybe I'm not familiar with certain aspects of the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and Jack Frost. Or, maybe it has just been a long time since I've given them much thought. While there are a lot of odd attributes spun around these characters - example: Elves don't make the toys, Yetis do - the additions and changes are okay.
While I enjoyed the Jack Frost characterization, Sandman was the big surprise in this movie. The Easter Bunny turned out to be pretty cool too. At one point Bunny says, "that's adorable." It isn't particularly cute, witty, deep, intelligent, clever, etc., but quite a bit of it is adorable.
