RIP Karl 1991-2014
19th: Picked up some asshole for the ride to SF. He paid $25; I found him on Craigslist lmao. Left at 1:30, arrived in SF at 7:30. Over the next couple days, saw about ten friends scattered around (Cupertino, San Jose, Fairfax, Ross, Berkeley, downtown, Oakland, Alameda) and smoked lots of pot, everybody was impressed by the quality of LA weed. Then I drove up to Tacoma, stopping in Portland for a dozen Voodoo Doughnuts on the way. Got a shady motel room in Tacoma, smoked pot with and took my old best friends from childhood out to a very large dinner at The Melting Pot; I had their lobster for the first time. Also smoked pot with some other friends from middle school, then went to Seattle for the meetup with Gonad, Angalacon, and Volpone. Drank a bit, then drove south overnight to SF again, getting more doughnuts on the way. Had dinner with my 90 year old German grand uncle with two MAs and a philosophy PhD, it was sad because he's starting to lose his memory and I'll probably never see him alive again, but it was great seeing him after all these years. Then this morning I left the bay and drove south again. On the way back though, I saw a roadside bonsai tree shop, and bought a Chinese Elm from the guy at a great price (only $75, the tree was just 12 years old though) and then got back home about three hours ago.
