The Crystal Maze is being rebuilt thanks to the Kickstarter campaign (of which I have tickets), so could well use it for filming at some point. It's a step in the right direction!
I wonder how much modern technology will change the way the robots work. I'm sure they'll have GoPros on them, but what else? A drone with an axe? Lasers? A hoverbot (that doesn't actually hover)?
I remember reading about that Crystal Maze Kickstarter thing (probably becausse you tweeted about it) and thinking "I ONLY CARE IF IT'S ON TV" because I'm horribly selfish!
I also remember that the fights on Robot Wars would often be disappointing because one of the robots would just stop working right away and the team would keep waving the controls about trying to get it to work. But I liked Philippa Forrester's bum.
The best was the one with the rotating disc that would shred other robots. Had to feel sorry for the owners of the opponents, but it made up for the boring ones. Behemoth and Cassius were both pretty good as well from what I remember. Not many robots could survive being flipped over.
Mmm. Not sure off the cuff who I'd go for instead, but he does seem a bit old and school teachery for what's meant to be a slightly grungy kids/teenagers show.
