Ronnie Corbett died

Do you remember when they did a mockumentary style memorial for him a few years ago? It was a really weird idea for a comedy. They had loads of his friends talking about him as if he was really gone. Maybe they'll repeat it.

Anyway, sad, but not overly surprising considering his age.

I was more shocked by Zaha Hadid. She's probably my favourite contemporary architect and she was relatively young (65), so it came totally out of the blue.

It's not surprising given his age but he's one of those people you just don't expect to die. It's a sad loss. He was a comedy genius. Legit.

I don't remember that at all. I remember when Channel 4 did a drama about executing Garry Glitter though!

There was also The Mariage of Dale Winton, where they filmed a fake wedding between him and Nell McAndrew. It was basically one long "haha Dale Winton's gay" joke.

Remember that reality show where they tricked a bunch of morons into thinking they were going into space?

Oh yeah. If it had been in any way plausible it would've been a lot better. They managed to convince them that the gravity would stay exactly the same because they weren't in "proper" orbit and for some reason they could only look out the window for about 30 seconds. And iirc, Johnny Vaughan presented it. Maybe it was meant to seem like the space travel had taken up all the budget.

I dont think any of them seriously believed it.

Didnt they finish the show two days early as well?

I'm genuinely impressed that you remembered that detail of an eleven year old obscure reality tv show (I'm replying to threads I didn't reply to on the new software.)

I remember that the mole was called Charlie Skelton (it was his real name) and he writes jokes for comedians.
