Alright this is enough. Alot of you are trying to figure out who I am. I'm not going to say. I will say, however, who I am not. I am not Chris. I am not gul. I am not Storm. So stop the speculating. I didn't want to drag any of them into this.

I did what I did because it had to be said. Maybe backroom secrets are best left just like that - backroom secrets. I thought WF was based on the ideals of equality and an escape from the heavy handed TNZ mods. I remember when Martok'sSweetheart started the board. There was real idealism back then. There was no more us vs. them. It was just us. We supported the mods. They supported us. We had transparency in mod actions.

Now we have 500 post help desk threads. Maybe we should have left the title of that forum as Bitching and Moaning because that seems like all its ever good for.

What backroom secrets? You haven't said anything that I or anyone else didn't already know. For all I know, you could just be a Tker trying to start shit, your "backroom secrets" are that vague and uninformative.
 
Well it's pretty much your damn fault this time around.

Your posting here let another member along with staff attack another member. Your refusal to out yourself just shows what kind of coward you are. If you truly belive that there is a problem then you should have had the courage to say it as a Wordforger. Not coming here and hiding behind a mask. Trying to avoid losing something that if you stop and think about it for one minute is not worth jack shit in the long run.

The people involved in this attack on Gul are doing it out of spite and you are letting them use your name here to do it.

In my book that makes you as bad as them.

Not that this excuses DW, but the staff using this lame excuse for a witch hunt against Gul reflects more on them than him. =/ If this didn't set them off to get him, something else would have.

This is just like when Face was let back last year and all those stupid bullshit warnings and rules were set in place to try and trap him, but got everyone else instead.
 
If I were this person, I'd be scared shitless to reveal myself at this point, if WF access is important to him/her.

And I don't just mean A51 access. Given the fact that this person caused some members of EliteForge to lose face, this poster is persona non grata at that board. Spite would dictate that s/he be banned not only from A51, but the board itself. And spite has reared it's ugly head very recently there.

If it were me, I wouldn't risk it.
 
That person would have quite a bit of defenders especially if the rumors of the "back-room" stuff is true.

And if this person where really scared they would have never posted after the first couple of posts. Each post gets everyone one step closer to nailing who it is. Then what? The whole I'm not using my WF name bit would be for nothing.

But s/he has posted quite a lot, and no one is closer to knowing who this person is.

And, no. You're wrong about the defenders. Look at Storm. Even after *blatantly* threatening gul's RL, albeit in a cowardly backhanded manner, he still has people willing to turn a blind eye to the fact he threatened someone's livelihood to flush him out.

Never assume right will prevail at WF. It usually doesn't, sadly.
 
I never said right would prevail. I did say DW would have defenders provided certain things were made public.

The fact that right might not prevail is not an excuse to not stand up and fight for it.

But they wouldn't be the defenders that counted. This person's detractors would certainly be those with modCP and adminCP access, not to mention some very malicious trolls. There would be retribution, and it wouldn't be pretty. Hell, it wouldn't even be confined to the board.

Look at what happened to gul when he was suspected of being DW. Boundaries were crossed that were ethically wrong. The real DW wouldn't have a chance.

Think about what has transpired in the past 24 hours. Do you really think this person's RL would be off limits to certain people?

So? That still wouldn't make it any less wrong. Elwood is a bit more mentally balanced than the previous owners of WF. When enough people start calling bullshit--and more importantly, when more people who usually don't speak up start voicing their opinions--he makes some attempt to listen

Indeed. I learn that a few months ago, when I was the only one that was pretty vocal about that bullshit with Face--which is ironic since I was one of the most vocal people about him being banned in the first place! :lol: And from the comments I've heard from some of the staff, a lot of that witch hunt with Face was most certainly personal.
