Shattered Corpse: Worse than EI?

In some ways, it is.

For example, the warning/ban system. Keeping in mind that EI is still unfair about the application of its rules system, in the very least, it is structured so you know where you stand. You get two warnings, and your banned. And the bans progress the further you go along. A week. A month. Six months. At Shattered Corpse, it doesn't work that way. You post for the pleasure of Cait and Scrat. The moment you piss them off, BAM! your done.

Not only that, but the first level of banning is a month long. I thought EI was bad with a six month ban. WTF is that about?

There is also the uneven moderation. In one breath, Cait is telling you how fun your trolling is, that she's having a blast or some other nonsense, and the next, your gone. She needs to make up her mind: Either trolling is fun and harmless, or you stop it when it starts. You can't send mixed messages to your membership.

More later when I think of it..............................

little BG, the reason why I was cut so much slack the last week or so was because Cait found my antics "amusing", whatever-the-fuck that means. (I took that to mean that I had a green light to continue on, I guess not).

I'm not sure you are in the same boat. Food for thought as you continue your crusade against Gagh.

(BTW, my money is on Gagh.)

It is nowhere near as bad as EI IMO. EI, for a start, has a much larger membership base, who post on a more regular basis. It has a more broader snapshot of a community, and I feel the mods / admins have a lower tolerance threshold for shenanigans from what I've seen at SC so far.

SC, however, as a smaller board, has a much cliqueier atmosphere. I post at a board that has the exact same thing, so I know how hard it can be for an outsider to 'get it', so to say.

However, from what I've seen over the last two days, my perceptions are slowly beginning to shift. Certain members have left this board, and gone there for a variety of reasons, yet they seem to behave like they are still here. They have decided to continue meaningless feuds, and this has hardly done SC any great favours.

I do care, because I'm trying to post at SC in an honest way, and yet I seem to have you and Grammour Boy following me around intent on treating SC like it is TK.

and it's "reactionary" and "rebuttal" that you're trying to communicate (rather ineffectively, I might add).

These aren't spelling trolls, if you're going to use big words then learn to spell them correctly.
 
If Cait wants to take advantage of the activity TKers bring to it then she should be ready to reap what she sows. Gagh's spot-on.
