Shut up boy, the day I see TK threads in the Red Room is the day I start gunning people down on the streets.

I have no problem with limiting access to the adults, but I see no reason to be rid of it entirely. There was no trouble with the room and it had a decent amount of use. Tossing it out because Troll Kingdom wants to control us and circlejerk over the shitstorms they cause is bullshit.

DarthSikle started making noises about reporting us for letting minors in the White Room and saying WF was full of pedophiles when his ban was not reversed.

Now, he could be blowing smoke...but he and more importantly others there are more than willing to do such things to cause trouble for a board. And with Elwood being in law enforcement and at a new job to boot, it really isn't a risk worth ignoring considering the potential real life repercussions for Elwood.

Next we have an example of the bias which goes on there.

Thread Bombing (Flooding, giant images etc)

I apparently made a mistake allowing the huge picture thing in one thread, which I did because there is really no rule against it and it was in the RR.

But now Powaquattsi used the tactic in another thread and was bombing it after every Zodiac post. I spoilered them and told him to knock it off, but I suspect it won't be that easy to make it go away.

I'm PMing with Powa and basically he thinks this is a great way to shut up Zodiac and everyone else who is arguing with him.

I am trying to make him see when other people start using the tactic or Zodiac and friends start retaliating in kind what kind of mess that will be.

Why is Zodiac still here?

He's never contributed anything of value, he starts trouble in the Help Desk, tried to exploit a loophole in the Champagne Rooms rules which ultimately got it shut down, and how has posted a thread about hanging black people.

We lost that room because people weren't too selective in who they let in and freaked when the inevitable happened.

The lack of DW/CM/GE/Storm/Gul/LEAK threads is disappointing. Elwood knows how to play a crowd well; they won't be released until people are over the drama. I guess we'll have to wait 3-6 months for that.

There's probably more, but it's not worth searching for it.

Shelter: The Expansion Pack - Does it rate?

OK, it seems as though if the staff is trying to fix some of the problems with the earlier edition. It seems Elwood has released 12 new threads. 12 opportunities to push the earlier rating to at least 9+.

One example not mentioned in the previous was the pathetic display of the staff having to start threads about their friends attempting to join Wordforge. Guys, come on. When staff members have to use the mod lounge to push for approval, you know you have a problem.

Elwood clarifies the release policy:

What I do, when I'm picking threads to release, is to start at threads that haven't had a post in a month. I start there and work my way back. Everything that meets that criteria gets tossed into a special holding sub-forum of The Shelter and we give everyone a chance to read them to make sure there's no e-mail addresses and such in them, and then they're released.

Because we all know how difficult it is to spot blue hypertext links.

Most of the threads are generally uninteresting. This one caught my eye, however:
