Ok, went and saw it on Saturday night. Awesome flick. I know nothing about the video games, but from what everyone else was saying it stayed pretty true to the storyline. The bugs were fucking creepy, and I kinda wish the lady wouldn't have cried through the whole fucking movie. But the effects were fucking awesome. If you don't like gore, I suggest you stay away. In one scene a monster grabs this girls chest skin, twists it and rips her skin completely off....it was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the ending.....only because I didn't quite understand what was going on....but you know it got left open for a second film.

I'll probably see it this weekend. I read an interesting article, though, that a lot of the special effects was done old-school, so to speak. People actually dressed in costumes and stuff. Can't remember which scenes they were talking about right now, but once I see it, I'll let ya know.

Interesting peice of info....the coal burning thing is actually based on a true story.
