So Big Brother and those mental evaluations

Each BB contestant is supposed to be screen so they weed out those who are mentally ill and will be damaged by the show right?

Did they just say "fuck it" and reverse it so that only people that are mentally ill and will be damaged get on the show?

The US is rushing a new BB into production for February because of the writer's strike. There was a rumor that it would be celeb, but it's highly doubtful. Even if they could find 14 celebs with a couple of months free, I doubt the celebs would want to be seen as not supporting the writers.

There were at least 3 people in BB8 who obviously failed the mental test, in fact one of them won the whole thing.

They could get the same caliber celebs as they have on The Surreal Life. They probably need the job worse than they need to support the writers.

If they got Flava Flav and Brigitte (and if she was still drinking!) that would be funny.

If I ever see that woman who calls herself New York on the street, I'll gouge out her eyes and piss in the bloody sockets.

Brigitte was on the UK Celeb BB so she's have a HUGE UNFAIR ADVANTAGE.

Shahbaz last year proved that not only are contestants disqualified from taking part if they get a bad mental health evaluation, their chances of getting on actually increase.

I would love it if Tom Cruise got arrested for something just big enough so that a judge could sentence him to a year of appearing on celebrity reality shows. The endless string of humiliating situations as he attempts human interaction would end his career once and for all.

I was going to apply for BB2 and they don't actually care that you're damaged or may be damaged by the show they care that you won't damage others. The screening questions have more to do with temperment and anger issues.

We just seem to get angry people on ours.

Some of them have been known to get into rows with the audience on the way into the house.

I wish the US version worked a live audience into things more. We only get one during the finale when they announce the winner.

It's great when a truly reviled housemate comes out and is booed by hundreds of complete strangers. Must suck to be them, but of course they did ask for it.
