Do you get an error message when you try to see the board, or does it say "you are banned"?

Having said that the front page gives links to threads that are active, yet if I try to follow them I still get the error page.
 
I opened this one here first because I figured more people would actually be banned from trek here than at lonaf, when I didnt get a response here I opened one there, so sue me.
 
I think so. I've only been banned once (save for the permaban, which was subsequently lifted). I think your ban goes into effect immediately, and then you have 24 hours + how ever many hours are left in the current day.
 
To technically if you got banned 1 minute after midnight your 24 hour ban could last almost 48 hours.

I think this is my first time getting banned anywhere, although I might have been banned once at the old EFCL, I cant remember it was that long ago.
 
I'm sure they can rescind it manually. But the last time I got a ban, it was lifted just after midnight, some 36 hours later. When I complained that I couldn't get back in after 24 hours, that's the explanation I was given.
 
Guess I was lucky.

When I got back I found ThomasModels complaining in MA that I hadnt recieved a ban, then looking stupid when someone pointed out to him I had in fact been banned.
 
Yeah, and he was whining incessantly in his December contest thread, too.

Now he's just gloating and basking in his "power".

You should build the best fucking ornament you can, win the contest, and then make the next one CGI-only.
