Unluckiest Charm in the Box
Here is a actuall unedited e-mail I recieved from a forum that I was banned from a few years ago:
Dear starguard,
Hope all is well with you and your loved ones. We have spent the past 5 months or so cleaning up the forums and getting rid of or supressing many of the undesirable elements. We have also removed the ability for other members to violate your identity by changing your display name. We are glad to reset your username or remove your inappropriate avatar if you just reply to this email.
While there has been vehement opposition to the imposition of this new, iron-fisted regime- things are looking better. Our ninja-pirate moderators are responsible for maintaining the level of content excellence and inspiring mayhem.
Some of you may be aware also, that my obsession with forums has led me to create a company around forumish things. The company is called CrowdGather, and yes we have forum people who work here
I am writing to you to ask you nicely to come back if you left, and to feel free to make good threads if you have been scared into lurking by the hooligans. I would also like you to update your email address to a more primary account if this is an in-box you don't check that often.
Cliffs:
1) Tard rebellion has been supressed
2) No more paid name/title rapes
3) Content is king
4) Update your email address
5) Free removal of inappropriate avatars
