When I was a teenager, still living with mom (never mind that I live in her basement now), I went into the kitchen to get a glass of milk.
My mother is a clean-freak. Disinfecting everything, scrubbing, polishing....
So I grab a glass and she's talking to me. I pour the milk and start drinking while she's yakking about something. Halfway through my milk I notice the milk is moving in my glass. Another gulp reveals a spider, flailing around on his web in the milk.

I hadn't noticed the spider had webbed himself into the glass before I poured the milk. The counter-top was a dark tile background. Legs and everything, maybe as big as my thumbnail.
I thrust the glass at my mother. "Don't you keep this place clean?!"
