I love you
I've been feeding the ducks at the park. They usually seem to recognize me and walk up to me quiet often even when I don't have food. One time I was emptying the remainder of the bag into the water and it fell. The ducks got spooked and flew to the middle of the lake and were making a lot of noise. I didn't think anything of it, because of course I startled them.
I wanted to get the bag out and so I found a huge stick that was on the other side of the strucure I was on. There were a few remaining ducks nearby but as soon as I pulled out the stick they got spooked again and flew away. I still didn't think anything of it, so I just got the bag out of the water and left.
The next time I came out to feed them all was fine until I took the grey bag out to feed them. And it happened again this morning. I was a little surprised.
I looked it up on line and apparently it is a thing. I found my info on a hunting forum tho. But it shouldnt' last too long especially if you are feeding them.
So I went to the parade in town, and then went to my car, changed my hat, took off my red scarf and changed bags that I was feeding them from. (I did these things sarcastically of course. Don't take it seriouisly!)
And then I walked over to the lake area where I saw some of them and they didn't come right up to me like they normally do. I climbed down onto the bank and started throwing food out and slowly they came over.
