Remember when they used to be funny?

Remember when funny used to be funny? Now it just hangs out at 7/11 with a week old beard and smokes used cigerette butts.

Funny is hiding underground these days. Things like "Blue Collar TV" and Jeff Foxworthy are flourishing in its place. We are doomed unless someone goes down, rescues the funny, and runs a stake thru all the trailer trash posing as comedy.

We went to go see the "Comedians of Comedy" tour last month. Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn were the highlights, but I was LMAO the whole goddurn time. Comedy is alive, you just can't look to any popular source.

I saw "Cheaper By the Dozen 2" on the plane flight from Japan. There were a few funny moments, and the movie was "cute". Eugene Levy is reliably funny, and Bonnie Hunt has that incredible combination of funny/sexy/HAWT that's all too rare today. Hell, even Hilary Duff was ok.

But Steve Martin...wow, how the mighty have fallen! I remember listening to Steve's stuff as a pre-teen, cracking up at his King Tut and Chzech immigrant routines on LP. Aside from The Jerk, his first few movies were pretty funny too. With Roxanne, he seemed to hit a new stride of witty/funny, and seemed to re-invigorate himself.

But watching his antics in CbtD2 just appalled me. His "acting" consisted of pop-eyed double-takes and ridiculously goofy gestures. Really, it was awful. I kept wondering why the hell Bonnie Hunt stayed married to a buffoon like him. Dreadful.

LOL TC14 WAS BLOWN TO BITS SO WE DIDN'T GET THE CHANCE TO SEE THREEPIO ATTEMPT DROIND SEX WITH A 'FEMALE' THAT LOOKED LIKE HIM
