TBonz axes the Think Tank...

This one appears to be a lot more like the original way-back old school TNZ. How long did that one last?

I think that this is the best idea, along with keeping it invisible/opt-in.

I am willing to bet that the traffic (and trolling) in Science and Technology will increase, given the ability to relate many current events/controversial issues with topics like science (ie, is transsexualism genetic?)

I applaud T'Bonz on this decision.
 
Does anyone else see the irony of this forum (The Briar Patch) having been named by Enterpriser?

I wouldn't know, I don't have access.

If he never posted in TBP, then I am super-curious about that perma. I quoted his last several posts in my Enterpriser thread, so that we'd have them even after TBBS' pruning. I couldn't figure it out at all.

*Search was off at the time, so without Briar Patch access there was no way for me to tell if he'd posted there. I was pretty thorough searching the Tank, though. I'll bump it for you.
 
Think tank was neutered TNZ - no trolling, flaming, personal attacks.

Briar patch was an opt in only forum more like old-TNZ though not perfect.
 
I haven't been to Trekbbs in some time. But according to their wikipedia entry they have like 50 fucking forums now ! With forums like for every scifi show ever made !

I couldn't believe it !

What ever happened to Christian's vision of limiting the number of forums for a crisp clean look ?

TBonz sure blew that out of the water !

I remember when he flipped out over the mere mention of bringing the StarWars forum back. Now there's like 20 more LOL.

I bet even Chris hasn't been back to old Trekbbs in some time now.
 
Christian just pays the bills now (with a little help from the band). T'Bonz and now Spaceman Spiff call all the shots.
 
Ehhh, good call. Keep the "debate" while basically telling the whiners to either fuck off or give as good as they get without pounding on the poor, abused Notify Mod button. This should be interesting.
 
The only thing that surprises me about this is that I didn't get the usual PM from Jim Gamma a few days ago saying something like "I know something you don't. Keep your eyes on the announcements."
