Techman, RIP

missmanners

grrrrrrrr...
At 11 AM today, Tom (Techman) was laid to rest. He passed away last week from a heart attack. He will be missed.

:(

It should have been Hambil.

This news hits like a mack truck. He seemed nice enough when he wasn't out to aggravate us. That's all I can honestly say, because I didn't know him better.

There is a silver lining in that Troll Kingdom has been made safe from the forces of WF. The dystopian future steming from the union between missmanners and the dearly departed has been averted, IMO. Though at a terrible cost.

I can't imagine what you and they must be going through. You have my condolences.

I'm so sorry MM. I know that we all will miss him. There is a huge hole at wordforge now. I know i'll miss him greatly. You and his family will be in my prayers tonight.

mm, have my condolences. I'll pass the word along to Lonaf, if you like.

I didn't know him that well, but he gave me lots of nice karma. Pity that it take something like this, to know there really is a person behind the avs.

I actually didn't 'know' him as well as I would have liked. I remember him from the TrekBBS days, and from reading his posts here and at Wordforge. While I didn't always agree with him on certain issues, I always respected him and would never even think about saying a bad word about him. He was, after all, a veteran of two wars (at least), and to me that says a lot.

I'm...speechless, I guess, at his loss. We here at TK like to fight and squabble and poke fun with and at each other online and argue over pointless things that don't really matter. Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that the person on the other side of the monitor is a real person. I can only hope that he got some enjoyment from sparring with us here and elsewhere, and I think he did.

RIP, Tom.

How old was he?

Sorry to hear this, if its any consolation, its usually a very fast way to go
