I forget what city they were in but the cops roll up on this guy who got shot in the head. The guy was totally calm, fully concious, and just sitting there getting his head wrapped with gauze. The bullett was lodged in the guy's skull but this guy was just so chill about it so I get where the cop was coming from when he asked the man, "Does your head hurt?" Very calmly and monotone the man answered, "Yeah, I got a bullett in my head." IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!

Yeah, that's pretty fuckin' funny! I swear, COPS is the most unintentionally funny reality show on tv.
 
After having numerous episodes filmed here, the mayor of Albuquerque has banned the producers of COPS from filming here anymore. Apparently, it paints our town in a bad light. Hm. Go figure.

Oh yeah, COPS is always or was always in NM and it did make you look bad. COPS has filmed our Sheriff's Dept. quite a bit but our city only once or twice and then yes, the mayor said, "No more." Because of course all they show is rampant crime and that's not what our city is about. I like it when they film in Palm Springs, it's nice to see that such an elitest city is still crawling with white trash.
 
Every time they have to chase a "suspect-soon-to-be-an-in-custody" on foot I wait to see how soon they all start huffing and puffing because they are all out of shape. So few of the cops seem to keep themselves in top physical condition - and it should be a requirement like the firemen do. But I do love watching that show...so much entertainment value at the expense of others.

You have to have a permit to film our police department, the mayor approves said permits.

And yes, Enk, nothing is funnier than watching the fat cop chase down the fleeing suspect. The only cop I ever saw hold his own was a one legged bike cop. Shame on the fatties.
