So I went and checked out this flick with Tony and a bud of his....it was ok, if you like gore. It wasn't as good as the original, IMHO. There are some parts that made me pretty squemish, but overall it was a good film.
I've been debating on whether to see it. The plus side is that Aaron Stanford is in it. The negative side is that I hate remakes of classic horror films (with the exception of Dawn of the Dead.)
Next thing you know, The Last House on the Left will be remade. I may just wait for DVD.
I thought this movie was pretty retarded...mostly because it was SO gross I couldn't watch a lot of it. My stomach hurt when I left the theatre, but I have to hand it to them...they were very good at creating suspense...TOO much suspense though, lol.
Seriously? When the quasi monster starts sucking on the girl's boob? I was thinking to myself, is this really necissary? lol...I guess i'm getting old.
^^I loved the new Dawn of the Dead, but I don't really get squeamish at "cartoon" violence. The stuff that disturbs me is "The Ring". You know, weird psycho images and shit.
Have you ever heard of the game series, recently made into a movie, Silent Hill??
That wierd psycho shit is meant to be scary because it is found nowhere within the natural world. It drives us nuts the same way headphones with music playing from them terrify a god.
