The Last of Us season 2

Pretty good season opener. Isabela Merced is the best character now. Ellie being a dick to Joel was kind of annoying but I guess that's what teenagers are like?

I'm glad Joel didn't die and that was just a false rumour started by people who played the game attempting to troll tv watchers.
 
I played the game first (loved it) and watched the first season afterwards (loved it) so I will do the same again. Last of Us pt 2 just got ported to PC, so I think I'll probably play through it next.
 
2.2 - That was a good episode of tv. I knew the thing was going to happen but it was still a very tense scene with the torture and Kaitlyn Dever's friends (except that one asshole) being all "err, this is a bit much."

Does she know her dad was goign to kill Ellie by operating on her? Maybe Joel should have shouted that at her to buy some time.
 
2.3 - I'm not GEOGRAPHY MAN but wouldn't Wyoming to Seattle be quite a long journey? And they didn't run into any zombies the whole way?

Where's Bickendan, the map man? I'm sure he has the answer.

I'd think it would be even longer since I think they said they were avoiding cities and highways for most of the journey.
 
And it seemed like in season 1 whenever Joel and Ellie went anywhere they were constantly under threat of attack by zombies or other people, but Ellie and Dina didn't seem to run into either during a very long journey (of maybe they did and it was too boring to show.)

Maybe it's like the Walking Dead where some evil assholes herded all the zombies into one area to use them later as his own personal zombie army.
 
2.5 - It's all getting a bit too silly, I'm afraid. Ellie and Dina walking through a city fully of army guys (presumantly civilians too!) having a really loud conversation. They've known each other 5 years but never once talked about Dina's past? The park is a forbidden zone but the wolves don't even lock the door or anything. The scars doing their blood sarcrifice thing in a well lit area a couple of minutes into the park (can't the wolves just like easily gun them down.) Ellie infilitrating a well guarded hospital and avoiding getting shot by several people after easily finding the one person who she wants. Can they bring back Kaitlyn Dever plaese.
 
2.7 - Pretty clunky and weak finale, with a really bad cliffhanger. Is season 3 really just going to be the same 3 days again, but from Abby's perspective, until they eventually reveal that (gasp!) Ellie didn't actually die? I should be happy, as Kaitlyn Dever was predictably great in the 30 seconds she was actually on screen, but we'll have to wait like 2 years for a bunch of retread scenes and will anyone care by then?

Ellie was pretty annoying for too much of the season. Like, yeah, I get that the point is REVENGE IS BAD and makes you do BAD THINGS (she killed a pregnant woman)...but we still have to watch our main character be annoying for a lot of her screentime.

What was the point of the part where she washed up on the island and was instantly captured by the cultists then just instantly let go again (like they couldn't have just taken five seconds to kill her)? It was all over in under a minute and felt so half-assed and stupid?

It's disappointing because season 1 was very good!
