My dear child, please see fit to ignore all the other suggestions. Do NOT purchase Adobe Illustrator. It is inferior to CorelDRAW. I would suggest you find an older version of the application, perhaps via e-bay, and learn to use it. Forget Adobe Illustrator as it is beyond your ken and a very flawed program. The only reason Adobe survives would be thanks to their proprietary encapsulated postscript language (EPS) and portable document format (PDF) programs. Without them Adobe would have died long ago. I know it and the others know it for Corel was and remains light years ahead of Adobe. I am certain you could find an older copy of CorelDraw. As you will not be using it professionally this is the most obvious solution. Perhaps as low as CorelDRAW 7 although I would suggest version 9.
