Forever Empress E
So, I screwed my courage to the sticking place
and met with the orphans today for lunch.
It was hard.
The meds have made my skin really dry.
Anything touches me and it leaves a scratch.
My left forearm looks like it has been run through a meat grinder.
Actually, it looks better today. Lubriderm is helping alot.
One nasty fever blister is left - crusty and gross,
with tiny remnants of the others still somewhat visible
on my ever so fair skin.
Then, there is the healing boo boo under my eye.
One of the pool ladies asked me what the other person in the fight looked like.
I told her they looked fine because they had won!
But, people think I've been fighting!!!!
No. I'm a lady. I only fight with mean and vulgar words when my opponent can't see me. And, I'm a pacifist. I'd never, ever hit anyone, ever.
I don't want people to think I look like this all the time - or even often!
Anyway,
I met with the ladies from the orphanage I lived at back in the late 60s.
I was a little kid then and really don't remember any of them.
They seem to remember me though.
They were really nice.
It was like meeting my long lost sisters - ones who really liked me
and don't want to do mean things to me.
I had a good time.
I'm looking forward to seeing them again.
