These last couple of months...

..Have been hard going. All of it has been compacted wit the fact that I am STILL waiting for broadband in my area, bringing the total upto 11 months.

OTE says they will get to me before the year is out, so I imagine that will be December then.

Man oh man,.. Its impossible to live without, I'm going stir crazy. I even joined a greek ADSL forum to bitch and whine with my fellow unlucky souls.

Get this. OTE dropped its prices for broadband on september 20th.. so now a 1mb connection will only cost me.. wait for it..... 100 euros a month!

WHeeeee!.... err.. Drat..


I mean fuck that. I'm sill going to pay it becuase, well, I just will pay it because I need it so bad, but really.. its crazy, 100 euros a month for a 1mb connection. That costs 17 quid in England!


But damn, I will put it to good use. All the shows I need to catch up on. I am a full year behind on telly except for Veronica Mars thanks to BDM.

Wacky are you still living in a dial-up nightmare where you are? What about you Gagh, you at 2mb yet?
 
I guess so. Do you never feel like downloading stuff like porn, games, movies, tv shows?

Because I know I do. When I had broadband I NEVER turned my PC off. it was just downloading at a 100kbs+ every day, every month... Do they not have broadband where you are then?
 
I still have dialup at home, but I do much of my surfing at work, where we have T1.

It's getting to the point where I'm going to have to get the broadband, though. SmoothBoyz.com keeps making bigger and bigger ZIP files...
 
Well I cant live without it. I don't know how the hell anyone else can either. I want to go surfing Bittorent sites!
 
I'd probably feel like downloading stuff like that if I could, but I can't so I don't. They do have broadband here, I think, but there's a reason. THERe'S ASREASON
 
But its like, cheaper. It would work out cheaper for you. Only people who comeonline for maybe 5-10 minutes a day to check E-mail really spend less than broadband is in Britain.

If there is a reason you haven't switched over it must be damn good one!

Just think about pages of Paquin and Knightley pics loading in less than a second.


Ahh, the possibilites. I know what you mean though, I had a 1mb connection for over a year and it was glourious, when it was taken off me I span out. Somebody liked it to going from crystal meth to coffee. A decent analogy.

You can watch full screen video in real time man!! A full DVD quality movie takes a little over an hour to download! And you can get EVERYTHING from Bittorrent. It rules.


I can't wait to get it back. As soon as I do I will be able to start watching Raw and Smackdown again. Plus anything like BB is all there. Just get it of BT. RULEEEEEZ!!
