They're banning people at WordForge because they MIGHT be me!

CheekyMonkey

I'm high
I just heard from an old WF acquaintance that there is a little incident going on, over there. Apparently some poor schmuck has gotten banned for being a dual of Yours Truly.

I don't know what's funnier. That Elwood and Co. are still up in arms about my potential for posting his private information all over the web (which, by the way, never happened in the first place, and which I could have done 50 times over, by now, if I'd wanted to)

OR

That now they're banning people because they MIGHT be me!!!!!

OMFG LOL ROTFLMAO!!!!!

I'm laughing so hard right now, I might actually burst something! Check it out!

Wow, so Elwood pulled a GWBush ?

Went to war with a poster and now refuses to put his evidence on the table. Everyone is just supposed to accept the unnamed evidence as the word of God.

And isn't Elwood supposed to be a cop! Glad I don't live in that city!

"I shot the punk sir!"
"Why?"
"I can't tell you, but believe me it was a good reason!"

Meh. I say leave 'em alone.

For some admins, mods and posters, WF is all they have, which is why they protect it with such unhealthy vehemence, even to the extent of blackmailing and bullying the previous owner into giving it up. Why bother disrupting their only source of social interaction? They obviously need that internet message board a great deal.

Yeah, yeah. WF is pathetic.

It's still funny. I've managed to troll them without actually doing anything. Does that even count as a troll? The fact that they are cannibalising their own membership simply because I exist?

Whatever it is, it's fucking AWESOME.

And it's getting better. They're making up more and more shit with each post. Conveniently re-inventing past events to support the current random banning.

And apparently the banned member in question, this time, is somebody I work with. And I think I know who it is. And the whole thing just gets funnier and funnier to me. I wonder who'll they ban next?

Man, I was pretty sure WF had forgotten about my crazy ass. But no.... I live on in infamy.

I am awesome.

Why did they ban you in the first place ?

Why did they ban you in the first place?

Because I'm a dirty slut and Elwood is a dirty liar. He is a tiny, petty little man who will protect his false internet identity at any cost.

Does the "infamous thread" still exist ?

No. Curiously, it disappeared almost as soon as I created it, under false claims that it contained "personal information" about Elwood. Really, all I did was reveal that Elwood wasn't really a cop. He didn't like that. I was promptly permabanned. And so was another user, under the guilt-by-association policy.

OH and it gets funnier!!!

Do the Turdforgers know that they've apparently banned a member in good standing.... but I can still get in?

And Volpone is in there, too. Fucking hilarious - last I heard, he thought I was crazy. He was all too eager to get behind Trashy McStriptease way back when I had my "meltdown"..... but then again, I bet loads of people have gotten behind that bitch.

Hey Volpone - here's some sage advice for you: The nail that sticks out gets hammered down.

But maybe you'd enjoy the pounding? ;)

Turdforge smilin' at me
Nothin' but Turdforge do I see
Turdforagers singin' a song
Nothin' but Turdforagers all day long

Never saw Tamar shinin' so bright
Never saw Elwood clenchin' so tight
Noticing the duals hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they cry

Safe days, all of them gone
Nothin' but dual checks from now on
(Turdforge smilin' at me
Nothin' but Turdforge do I see)

Well, as Trollkingdom's most beloved member it falls to me to put out an official response to this matter. Something that our Wordforge brothers can take back with them as a lesson learned.

After much consideration, I believe there was enough evidence to support the theory that Cheekmonkey COULD have been using a dual on Wordforge.

Evidence as follows....
  1. Both accounts were used within the same university department.
  2. The dual account in question was registered a few days after cheeckmonkey was permabanned.
  3. Here at TK - Within the past 9 months cheeckmonkey has only posted on two different days months apart - the last in late January. Yet on the very day the dual is banned at Wordforge he reappears here with news of the situation.

However while there is strong evidence to support that the dual was cheekymonkey, it should be noted that the possibilty also exists that the dual was someone else. When at a shared computer I've gotten bored and checked out the computer's history to see what everyone else is looking at. It is possible someone was checking out the shared university computer after cheeckymonkey was done with it, read a few threads, and decided to join. This would also explain the close join date as Wordforge would still be very active in the computer history at this time. The main problem with this theory is - and I kid you not - I cannot imagine two different people in one group of people actually WANTING to join Wordforge. I figure WF only appeals to maybe 1 percent of the population. To find two people so close together who are so into it to actaully post there seems... odd. But not impossible I guess.

Conclusion

So it is TrollKingdom's opinion that Elwood jumped the gun. While the possibility of a dual did exist, it would have been in his best interest to keep an eye on it and wait for more evidence to present itself. They could have collected evidence such as grammar, log in times, waiting for the dual to slip up, etc. and then made their case by listing the evidence in detail. They would have come out looking like pros. Instead they didn't say anything and just pulled the trigger. The result was that they jumped the gun and created the perception of a amateur operation. Hopefully Wordforge will learn from this and move on.

TrollKingdom declares this issue... Resolved.
