I want to smell dark matter
"SO, YOU'RE AWAKE? GOOD! AHAHAHAHAHA!" said the Wise Woman.

"Berty, what did you see in your dream?" asked Susie.

"Lots of things," he said, trying to remember. "Umm...Robocop. Colours. Mostly that...but I remember the message, I think."

"What was the message?" asked Susie. "Did you see your path?"

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the Wise Woman, randomly.

"I think it was saying I should confront my inner demons. My father. The dentist."

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Your father?"

"He was a huge superstar in the dental world, but he never had much time for us kids. He was away a lot, travelling the world, pulling teeth. My older brother had to run the household. He couldn't handle it. He used to beat me with steel chairs."

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"I'm so sorry."

"My father was supposed to retire from dentistry and come home, but he couldn't take it. He had a nervous breakdown and ran away from home. The last thing he said to me was 'your teeth shame me.' I hate him."

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Will you shut up!" said Susie, angry with the Wise Woman.

"No, I owe her thanks," said Berty. "She showed me the way. Well, her drugs did."

"Not my drugs," said the Wise Woman. "The Wise Man's drugs. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Wait, the Wise Man!?" asked Berty, shocked.

"There's a Wise Man?" asked Susie.

"Of course! He taught my everything I know! AHAHAHAHAHA! I'm surprised you didn't just go to see him. He lives a few feet down the road! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Let's go!" said Berty, taking Susie's hand and heading out the hovel.

"But I thought you had to find your own path or something?"

"I just feel I need some extra help. From the Wise Man."

"And he can look at your teeth," said the Wise Woman. "He looks after mine!" She showed her teeth. The were flawless.

"What, you mean...no...he's a dentist? But he can't be...it's can't be!" said Berty.

"Come to think of it, he looks exactly like you only older and he told me he has a son named Berty. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Let's go!" Berty and Susie ran out. The tree people were still waiting outside. "Oh, uhh, hi," said Berty.

"Dude, we've been waiting for days, hroom hroom!" said the Tree Leader.

"Sorry, I was in a coma or something. Look, do you know about the Wise Man?"

"Of course!" said the tree. "But we don't go to see him. He refuses to see anyone who doesn't have teeth." And, indeed, the Tree Men didn't have teeth.

Berty and Susie ran up the path to the Wise Man's house. It was shaped like a giant tooth.

"Are you reading for this?" Susie asked. "Confronting your father?"

"Yes!" said Berty.

"Okay then...wait, I feel weird..." Suddenly, Susie turned into a duck.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

My thing of the day:

O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now,
And Autumn leaves
lie thick and still,
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

Those days are past now,
And in the past
they must remain,
But we can still rise now,
And be the nation again,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

0 Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
