THE INTERVIEW
Supervisor: It is time for your performance review, Iggy.
Iggy: We're in the grey room!? No! I can't...it's been so long since I've been here...no colours...no minds...
Supervisor: Do not concern yourself with where you are. You've had many years of listening in on human minds. Now I will listen in on you. And I will judge you.
Iggy: I have done nothing...
Supervisor: And there is not point in lying to me for, as I just said, I am listening to your thoughts. You have commited a grave crime, making a human being belive they heard a supernatural voice.
Iggy: She...she'd just murdered Noah.
Supervisor: You care for this Noah? A human?
Iggy: How could I not! Come on, you've been where I am! You've been on Earth, you've listened in humans, watched them live and die. Tell me you never cared for them.
Supervisor: This is dangerous talk...

Supervisor: Even if I had, it is no excuse for what you did. I was on Earth for a thousand years and I never once let a human hear me.

I thought the thought in anger, but if she had had a normal human brain she would not have heard it. I was that aware of the sensitivity, I had rarely entered her mind before.
