DON'T FUCK WITH MY TITLE BITCH
I was going to post this in one of the SC threads but it is not related enough.
Sardonica stated in his last post that one of the problems with TK is that posters here don't need to take personal responsibility. I strongly disagree. In fact, I think that a lack of personal responsibility was exemplified in Sardy's act of deleting all his posts. We mere posters here must in fact take responsibility for each and every one of our posts since we do not have the luxury of deleting what we later regret. We must deal with the consequences of our posts both on the board and (in some cases) off the board, and I think anyone who has spent a week here realizes that.
A more active/stringent administration here would deny us our personal responsibility by curbing the actions and reactions of the posters around us, even going so far as to ban certain users to prevent further actions/reactions to our posts.
This also brings me to why I like it here so much. Posters here are so much more straight-forward than at other boards; there are fewer guidelines to skirt. I know that my posts here have consequences, and because of that I choose not to incite hostility (most of the time anyways).
Next thought. So what is trolling, anyways? A lot of people think that trolling is the search for/creation of a reaction. I agree with that but I think that an effective troll is one that brings out a desired/predicted reaction. A troll is a manipulator, and the more skillful the manipulation the greater the troll(verb). Not that some unpredicted actions aren't awfully fun to see; but anyone can get a reaction of any sort, attaining a desired reaction is more worthy of admiration. Some desired reactions are more easily obtained than others; I'm not thinking far enough to make the distinction right now and I'm done.
