Retirement is just around the corner.
I'm more inclined to train someone up to fill the void I'll leave when I retire
than to guard against them trying to take my job.

Yes, pie is a wonderful thing.

When I was a teenager, I worked at Wyatt's Cafeteria. In the evenings, old people would come in and buy a piece of pie and a cup of coffee. It was such the common experience I associated in my mind old people with pie and coffee. The older I get, the more I appreciate the combination.

I have a cousin who lives in Manhattan. She works at some hoity-toity art gallery there for some rich Jew hog and she restores old painting frames. Some of those go back centuries.

She and her husband have caviar dreams on a tuna budget, but it hasn't stopped them from having fun up there.

We have a standing invitation to come and visit them and we might take them up on it next spring. We thought about doing it this last autumn and then swing up to Vermont and visit jack, but alas it wasn't to be.
 
I want to go back to New York. However, I also want to go places I've never been so New York may have to wait.

I'd like to go to London and Rome.
 
I have become obsessed with the show Elementary. Just discovered it and binge watching to catch up.
 
A group of my friends want to go to Seattle in July to see Adele. She's going to be here in November. Yes, I like a few of her songs. Her latest album overall isn't great though. I'd go to hang out with my friends and I want to go to Seattle and I need to travel. Old age quandry.

Yes, I will. One of these years. I've not been that way before so it is on my list of places to travel. When is the best time of year to visit? A friend of mine was in Portland last weekend and she said it rained the whole time they were there.
