Time travel scam!! Pay now for a trip later

Hmm. 1 doller into $39,323,261,827.22 in just 5 hundred years. What a deal!

Lets see, at the current rate of inflation, blah, blah, blah......

In 5 hundred years that should be enough for a happy meal and a cup of coffee at McDonalds.

Assuming of course Burger King hasn't bought them out by then. :P

Well if the time travel is really possible, then I will give them some money tommorow, but first they have to send back the billions my money will accrue in intrest today, once I have seen it today, I will invest tommorow.

Sure I can, its a predestination paradox.

Just like who on friday I can phone someone in new zealand where it will already be saturday get them to tell me the winning lottery numbers, then I just need to buy a ticket and wait for it to be saturday here

^^Of course you realize they get around that by not announcing the numbers until Sunday there.

Also, here's an interesting idea about "Loop Investing" -- if you do it with a fixed amount, shouldn't be a problem. But if you do it with a percentage, you cause an even worse paradox. In the former, the money doesn't actually come from anywhere. In the latter, the money never exists at all, since the amount is never set.

If time travel is invented in the future, wouldn't we already have had visitors? Maybe they hide themselves.
An infinite timeline extending into the future would yield infinite chances for a civilization to develop and use time-travel. But still, no visitors.

Or maybe any interference they've created in the past plays out from our perspective as though there were no interference at all. After all, we have no external frame of reference, so if someone from the future changed something, we'd never know it.

Well I sent them $$ today, and cashed MY check yesterday!
Sardy! You can only send your money forward in time! It's not allowed to go back through time. That's because your present money has already seen the Future Money. It could change the history of banking. Mr Spock might never be born. Did you ever think of that?
