Eggs, how do you get your groceries? Do you go out and get them, or are they delivered?
I use a delivering service for my fresh vegetables and fruits, I like having groceries delivered.
I go grocery shopping like normal people, but when I need to stock up, I use FreshDirect for deliveries. It's better than trying to haul a big cart of groceries around the city (and their delivery fee is cheaper than a cab).
Everything's on fire, walking is faster than driving, and people are getting into Mexican standoffs in formerly two-way streets that no longer have enough room for cars to pass each other.
Dear Northerners,
Please stay safe and warm
and
keep this cold mess up there.
I've been home iced in all day. Not a single person on my neighborhood drove on our street today so it is still a solid, clean sheet of ice. Supposed to be like this tomorrow before we get snow on Wednesday. I do not like this mess.
Eggs, that cracks me up. Brings to mind one of my favorite memories.
When I was a little kid my brother and I watched a movie about a mummy that got swallowed up in quicksand. Right after that we were at our granny's house in the chicken yard looking at the chicken feed in their trough. My brother told me that food was quicksand and not to step in that trough or I'd get swallowed up like that mummy. He was older than me and my big brother so I looked up to him and believed him. I was terrified of that trough of chicken feed and imagined myself getting sucked down into it never to be seen again. What is funny about that is the trough was about 5 feet long and 5 inches deep. The things little kids can imagine is fabulous.
Ice melted today but it is supposed to snow tonight.
The only good thing about this is I am determined to buy a new house with a fireplace. Every winter I wish I had a fireplace and then I forget about that in the spring and summer. This time next year when it is cold and yucky I will sit in front of my fireplace and be happy.
