Sigh - saw it last Friday.
I liked it.
But, I like Colin Firth, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale.
Beckinsale seems to be stuck in these action roles but she is very good at being kick ass.
I liked that the story is changed up some. The political intrigue and the setting in the original were kind of convoluted and pretentious. That is cleared up fairly nicely in the remake. Firth doesn't have Arnold's presence but he still played this part very well.
Guess that is the downer for this movie. While it is a good movie and everybody did a good job and there are improvements, not just in the technical aspects but in the storytelling, it doesn't make the story anything other than a fairly decent story with lots of action and current actors. Just isn't anything new in a year of super action flicks.
