Transformers - good, but too much lame humor.

I think it would have been a better movie if the audience was more defined. Were they going for the hormonal teenage boy crowd? Or were they going for the older teenage/young adult male crowd?

It started off really good with the military. I'd have liked to see the storyline stay with the war between the worlds idea.

It was about what I expected of a Michael Bay-helmed summer blockbuster about giant robots, knocking the hell out of each other.

There was something not particularly satisfying but that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Like Pearl Harbor.

I wish they would make summer blockbusters/action FX films with some substance to them. James Cameron managed to, why can't any of today's directors?

And of course there were the first two "Summer Blockbusters" ever: "Jaws" and "Star Wars". "Jaws" is a hands-down classic, all round. And "Star Wars" is very good too.
