He's caused the entire Democrat party to hitch their wagon to the lunatic fringe "squad." That's the Dems' brand now. They have to run in 2020 with four members who are nationally reviled right up front and center.

He offered the bait, and the Dems took it. Their chances of electoral success in 2020 are now nil.
 
Oh, and of course Trump is an asshole -- or at least he plays the part of one. He's playing the role of Biff Tannen, basically, except that he's not the idiot he's portraying. He's marginalizing his opposition -- and they're cooperating to the hilt.

He thinks it's going to win him 2020. Wait til the 2/3 show up all angry. Dems are being cautious while strongly condemning the obvious racist bullshit, which is red meat for his base. Any attempts to paint the Dems as the ideology of the "four" will blow up in their faces. As far as his goading Dems to impeach. That also will never happen. The best part of all this is he's desperate now to HAVE to win. Losing = jail.

He should remember to squeeze the base on the upstroke. Loving this latest twist, which just really cost him the election. :bigass:

The problem with the lunatic fringe, of which Jack is apparently a member, is that they confuse 'loud' with 'numerous.' They think because they make the most noise, that there's more of them than there actually are. They don't get that the louder they scream, and the wilder the gibberish they're screaming, the more strongly the rest of the electorate opposes them and their unhinged histrionics. It's even worse for them in sheltered little online enclaves like WF, where they comfort themselves with the idea that because they can throw out the opposing voices, there simply aren't any opposing voices.
 
People don't get the Twitter thing from a few days ago. (Granted, I can't tell you what he was up to either, but here's what I think it was: )

Trump is never going to be able to work with AOC or the rest of the hate America socialists, so he loses nothing by "alienating" them--they're *already* alienated. But by siding with Pelosi et al, he 1) gives them the chance to mend fences with AOC et al, knowing that this is impossible and won't happen and 2) plants the seed that he's willing to work productively with Pelosi et al to accomplish something. Since the Dems have the house for at least another year or so and the GOP proved largely useless the first 2 years, he needs some cooperation to get things done.
