Twilight - Breaking Dawn Pt. 2

I haven't read the books. I'm not quite a fan of the other movies. They were okay, interesting in parts, a little too emo for me in others, obviously geared for a different demographic than me.

In Breaking Dawn Part 2 -

There were some weak moments.

There were some jokes that fell flat.

But, there was a lot of awesomeness and "OMG, OMG, OMG" scenes.

And, Alice - she rules.

The audience was clapping several times near the end and I was clapping right along with them.

Good end to the series. Or is it?

Most importantly -- was there sparkly vamps?

LOL - not as bad as the first time that happened. Not nearly as stupid.

These vampires live in that area because it is always overcast and they don't sparkle in the average sunlight so they can walk around in the daytime and nobody is the wiser. However, on occasion they can get into some sort of special ray of light and they will sparkle.

That is one of the things that fails about this story.

The Loch Ness Monster remark also failed but the other things said in that conversation were pretty funny. Kristen Stewart actually looked mad.

Deus ex machina to the rescue!

All I will say is from the beginning of the big war scene up to the end is so awesome that it made me forgive some of the not so good moments before. Not having read the book, I was totally not expecting what happened. Knowing what we know about Alice, Aro and some foreshadowing with a couple of the new vampires, it wasn't out of left field either. Considering how many people in the audience were audibly gasping at the first surprising thing that happened - not many other people were expecting it either. And, then it got progressively more intense. Vampires can be very nasty and Alice can be especially nasty. Recall one of the previous movies where she destroys the vampire that took Bella off to an abandoned building and was about to kill her.

I may not be a fan of the series but I'm a fan of this movie. Of course, you have to watch the previous movies to understand most of this one.

I watched the first two movies. I don't think I can watch anymore of them.

Never seen one, Don't plan on seeing this one.

Nor do I, although my minions report that the battle scene is well done.

The battle scene is awesome.

And, Alice absolutely rules.
