Where's the Ezboard?
I went over to Trekbbs today for the first time in... well maybe years. I wanted to see this picture of the new Sulu with a sword pic I heard someone talking about as well as find out any scoop on the upcoming movie.

I scanned a few forums and was shocked to see that some had five days worth of topics on the front page. A far cry from the 'two hours later your thread is on page five' of my day.

I was also shocked to see that several people were complaining that TrekTalk had beat them on almost every new Trek News article.

Hmmm....

Perhaps Tbonz could give us a State of the BBS address.

Atleast the board I'm interested in has some weight to it. I could sneeze and wipe ExIsle off the map. Not that anyone would notice.

I think Exisle is just as useless and pathetic as trekbbs. So you'll have to do better than that.

Why did I ever stop reading Trekbbs ?

My answer: Not really. I've not had a warning in 5 years. I have an evil temper. If I can avoid warnings, anyone else can do so.

We've been rather lenient and have a problem with repeat offenders. This should take care of that. In all honesty, a 1 day for two warnings in one week doesn't really hurt. Many miss a day online without being warned, so it's not something that is painful enough to avoid engaging in behaviors.

What ? None of the constant professionals at Trekbbs have handed out warnings to the boss ? Shocking !
 
Someone needs to write a tell-all book about the workings of TBBS. Of course since the audience for said book is probably about 150 people, tops, maybe they should just serialize it here.

By the time I was in position to offer him a mod position, he had lost interest in TrekBBS (although I saw you were there the other day, you scamp!).

Also, bear in mind, plenty of people aren't interested in being a mod. My days of taking new mod jobs are long done. I've found that being a regular poster is relaxing and enjoyable.

Oh, and Sarek, thanks for taking care of the trash. ;) He has never changed over the years, not one bit. It's odd, as everyone else I know has changed, but not Lorne. Still crying over lost glories, still giving himself credit for shit he never did.

Absolute minor-league troll. Fails even to amuse.

P.S. Lorne, Sarek doesn't kiss my ass. He's my friend. But you wouldn't know what it's like to have a friend. :P

I lurk and read over there quite a bit lately. Interest in the new movie and all. I pulled out my Sarek account there to see what kind of reception it would get, but I've been posting more under the alt account. ;)

Dumbass, I own my own site and admin at another. I'm also a mod a two others. Is it ok with you if I have a site or two were I can go and leave the worries to someone else?
