"Would you like your communion child?"
"No thank you. I already had my fill this morning."
Just kiding.
Sort of.
I haven't been to Church in almost 4 years.
I haven't been to Church in almost 4 years.
Wow. I think that is twice now for me Loktar. I have you beat. But probably the other time I said I went to church I was lying. But it might have been for a funeral and actually I visit several churches throughout the week sometimes.
Loktar, go to church. Even if you are a dirty heretical Catholic and need to excite the priest with lurid confessions.
I force myself not to roll my eyes at lunch today when my mom said "You need to get back to Church." And I replied "Maybe I'll get back to Church after I get a job." And she said "Maybe God is waiting until you get back to Church to help you get a job."
I'm sure the Almighty has better things on his To-Do List than Holy Blackmail.
Loktar,
Sometimes I feel like I would like to go to church but I don't because I know I don't look at religion the way other people who would be at church do. I don't have any need to sit among them and pretend to be one of them. I don't have any need to hurt them or let them hurt me.
Still, I have a core belief system that involves my God and sometimes I would like to have a special place where I can go and sit in peace and commune with that being. I know - I can do that without a special place, that everywhere is appropriate since I believe my God is a creative force that is at the beginning of all that is.
It goes a little deeper than that but I think you can get the gist of what I am saying to you. Hope you get a chance to think on it.
JESUS CHRIST! LORD knows you need to PRAY! Put your burdens on the LORD and he'll sustain you. "Loktar", the doubts you have can be overcome by prayer. "'Gear", you need to get back with the LORD. He's your friend in times of distress. I know he's helped me. The constant harassment by "jack" took it's toll, but the LORD refreshes. Sorry I couldn't chime in earlier, but I've been a bit naughty on another board, so I've been spending most of my time praying. AMEN!
