Happy Days. After having a quick breeze through the Wikipedia page, JJ accepts the directors role on a movie adaptation of the popular show he never really got into as a child. There was a whole section about a scene where the main character jumped a shark on a surf board, so this seems to be a key element to include and to reference in interviews when asked what his fondest memory was of the show.

Every surviving original cast member returns to play their characters' parent.
