Was he hiding his true form all along OR was he mutilated by the force lightning being deflected back at him OR by the Force lashing out in anger at his evil OR BIG WHUP, WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK!?
 
People who said Palapatine and Sidious were different people used to be the most annoying people in the world until EPIII was released proving them all wrong.
