What the fuck can you say about life when Peter Bogdonavich, who is a hit-and-miss director, makes a 4-hour (FOUR HOUR) documentary film about Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers...and it's not only watchable, but quite compelling?
I've sat through it 1 1/2 times on the Sundance Channel this month (the first time I caught it towards the end, then it was on again today and I watched nearly the whole thing).
Petty is a much more fascinating artist than one might think. Plus he almost named his band the NOSEBREAKERS HA!
