WTF is up with the OWS forum?

Seriously, whatever forum software they are using, or wrote themselves, it's horrific. One single forum, and stuff gets buried very fast. Tons of spam helps with that. Then there is this 'like' and 'dislike' thing on every post and it's comments that supposedly raises the post to the top as it gets more likes.

There are so many functional, technical and practical reasons why this is a terrible design, I could literally write a thesis on it.
