I'm not wearing any panties!!
So the last couple weeks my one consolation has been that as Breakman, I was going to be last man out. All I gotta do is Shuffle to the door, hand my Static Line to the Safety, turn, and kick out. We've done it over and over again, to the point where it's second nature.

Today they tell us that Breakman and Chalk Leader are going to switch so that Chalk Leader can be last man out. I have to stand staring out the door for about thirty seconds waiting for the Go.

FUCK ME. I got a no go first time out the 34ft tower for 'weak exit.' Basically I froze for a couple seconds, closed my eyes and just fucking jumped, doing none of my shit. Everytime after that I was perfect, but the first time I fucking clenched up.

Tomorrow is not going to be cool. :(

But GOD DAMN! that first one was a doozie! I'm stuck there staring out the door just mentally ranting to my body: Please just jump, please just jump, please just jump, please just jump, please just jump, please just jump, please just jump HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME. OH MY FUCKING GOD. Oh shit! Gotta start counting. One thous... oh well that wasn't too bad, I really thought it would jerk, oh, better check canopy gain canopy control. Wow, I did it, I fucking did it. This harness isn't nearly so bad as on the tower, in fact it's kinda peaceful. Oh shit, landing, where's the trucks? Trucks, trucks... ah fuck, other side of the LZ, this is gonna suck. Wonder if I got time to slip? This isn't working, I'm not moving at all... wait.... there we go.... hmmm.... they weren't shittying this really does work. Am I at 100 ft? OH SHIT MY SHADOW!

Wow. That wasn't too bad either. Guess PLF wasn't BS either.

Yeah, which was the only one I completely fucked up. I was concentrating so hard on trying to get close to the trucks that I uh.... completely forgot to drop my ruck and weapon. I hit the ground with everything still strapped to me.

Oh yeah. That was fun.



But at least I didn't have to run so far! :lol:
 
Yeah right. I won't be claiming that until AFTER I get out of the Army. (VA gives better percentages)

Well, I'm betting that, since you lived to tell the tale, you at least didn't hit the ground with your weapon underneath you & pointing towards it, thereby escaping the fate of being turned into a human cocktail weiner. So you have that going for you.
