Zookeeper

I'm going to go see it in just a few minutes. I should be mowing but it is just too hot to mow and I'd like to go out.

Zookeeper is one of those movies if you've seen the trailers you've pretty much seen the movie. It has the standard boy meets girl kind of premise the story hangs on. The animals are interesting as are the big name actors providing the voices for them. The monkey is great. Cher is always perfect - she's just made that way. The gorilla is good - but we already knew that from the trailers.

It was a lovely comedic break from all the over the top action (Transformers 3), the claustrophic and very tense (Buried and Devil), and the creepy (Case 39 and The Traveler).

While this film is very much meant to appeal to small children, there are some references that are inappropriate for the younger audience. However, most children probably won't get the reference and only the parents will be a little red-faced.

Rate it a B if seen at the movie theater. For a Red Box rental or when it shows up on Netflix, it will rate a little higher. It is charming and cute with some genuine laughs.

That "fuck that little bitch up the ass" comment by Adam Sandler in that "poop" scene will certainly make some faces redden.

So yes, I agree with you there. Adam Sandler as a shit flinging monkey sure does bring the kiddie lulz.

Charming.

Not to mention, cute. If you took my kid to this movie I'd have you arrested for child abuse.
