Still fun to play, even if my city has to be 1/3rd parkland in order to keep property values up.
 
I bought it for the Mac years ago and never got it to work. Then I switched to The Sims.

I liked SimCity 2.5 Special Edition the best.
 
Well that's what you get for trying to play games on a Mac.

I never played a Sim City 2.5. What was it like?

I see a lot of nostalgia out there for Sim City 2000, but I always felt it was limiting in some areas compared to 3000. I could never really get into 4 either, though for no real reason.
 
2K5 was just 2000 with some updates/extra tidbits. I played that on the Mac too, it was fun.

"porn tips guzz ardo" still worked as a cheat. ;)

Funny how some games are good enough they essentially become timeless.

I still play Unreal Tournament, Total Annihilation, Starcraft, Civilization II, Battlefield 1942, and even The Incredible Machine, SkiFree, and lots more I'm forgetting.

Most of those are more than ten years old but the core game play elements can't really be improved upon much more today.
 
i haven't playeed since i was about 10. i dont have time for videogames other than MUGEN! which i also no longer play.
 
epic the disastorz u cud turn on, godzillaz an typhoons aliens oh to be 12 :bigass: i still have about 25 snes games foir mine.

plus emu on com with 200 games, but nothing beats the snes pad in ur hand and starfox

I worked for Maxis from 1984 to 1990. I was part of the original concept team working with Wright's idea when it released in 1989. Not a big deal, I also helped write about 30 NES roms too, and worked on a few SMS (sega) games, such as the Alex Kidd series.

I worked on PCjr (8086 code, pre AT) for IBM in Vermont from '79 to 84 (after I moved back from Santa Fe), and jobbed for maxis, sega, and Nintendo for most of the rest of the decade. Helped write what became Springer Miller Systems "HOST" now a standard for the hotel industry. I can still write code, although I admit after PERL and php it's beyond me these days.
