Mystic Knights Of The...

The Question

Eternal
Banned.

Not-so-little-known secret; new wave band Oingo Boingo started its life as "The Mystic Knights Of The Oingo Boingo", a musical street theater troupe founded by Richard Elfman, which eventually passed into the hands of his brother, who by then was its lead vocalist and songwriter, Danny Elfman.

The guy whose music pretty much defined the film scores of the 1980s and 1990s.

Elfman's FUCKIN awesome. You need to see Forbidden Zone. He's a like a pop music Marvin Hamlisch.

Awesome. You know that's Danny Elfman? He's a like a pop music Marvin Hamlisch.
Um... yes. That's why I put that that's Danny Elfman into my post. roflmao

LOL yeah I was jast reacting to you posting that. Then I went back and read your post. Have you seen Forbidden Zone?

I have not. I'll have to make a point of it. I've been "catching up" on some classic shit I had never seen before but for which these eyes are long overdue; for example, I only just yesterday watched, "A Fistful Of Dollars" for the first time. Today, it's, "Big Trouble In Little China."

You can definitely hear where the "The Simpsons" theme came from with that one. There's also a very Spike Jones & His City Slickers vibe happening there, which is cool.

The Leone westerns with Eastwood are stand alone for the genre. That one's a good one.
