I got to see 16 comedians at the Seattle International Comedy Competition.

My friend got me tickets. I was excited, but also it has been a long week, I wasn't as excited as you would think I would be. In fact I thought "I bet I will cry because I'm so sad" And I really didn't think anyone could make me laugh.

The host was great and the opening comedian was great. I was laughing so hard I was crying and I was sure I was going to pee my pants. I will say out of 16 comedians there were only 3 that I was "meh".

There was nothing listing the names that were at tonights show-but there is a list of everyone in the competition-so I am trying to find the funniest ones I saw tonight so I can post them up.
 
Has anyone ever done comedy ASMR?

If my internet were faster, i would be uploading that question, whispered, into the mic.
And then I would tap on a flat surface with my nails
and then attempt to open up a can and say it is something nice and cold to drink
but then curse loudly when it doesn't open right
and then whisper apologize and then attempt to make several different noises
with various objects I found near me

Surely this has been done
 
I don't think ASMR works on me. It's just noises!
 
It might be better when you watch them and listen and wear headphones. But obviously don't judge it off of mine!

I don't know why it works on me, but it does. I love it. But not all of them-you have to find the right one.
 
There are some voices that make me feel nice when I listen to them but I don't think that's ASMR.

Yours was very funny, I liked it. But when I listen to ASMR it is usually ones where they are eating food and/or making sex noises.
 
I don't listen to ASMR per se, but I often have long videos of rainfall or babbling rivers playing in the background while reading or working. Same principle I guess.

 
I love background sounds like that also.
 
Her delivery's good but she needs to work on her material, 5/10.
 
Well I did stand up again in this town and it went well.
I never know when people are going to laugh and it throws me off.

I saw some cameras going so maybe some people got some footage.
 
Did you do your famous "elbows" routine?
 
I did not. But I did do the "Hacksaw" joke!
 
Someone asked me if I could teach them the art of stand up. So I gave them a paint brush and some clay.

The local band said I could do stand up during thier intermission if I wanted. One of them said he would ike to hear my "not family friendly" version of my comedy.
